Welcome to my page! My name is August (nicknames include Gus, Aug, or Auggie) and I use he/him pronouns. I’m a 27-year-old senior undergraduate student at Whittier College. I’m a proud alumnus of Rio Hondo College, where I earned three associate’s degrees with High Honors.
My goal in life is to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and then a licensed psychologist. I’m currently looking to gain more experience while earning my remaining degrees. I have particular interest in working with the neurodivergent, unhoused, and LGBT+ populations.

- I’m a first gen Latino student
- I attended Long Beach Job Corps and earned a medical assisting certificate before realizing my passion lay in psychology
- My middle name — Jayce — means “healer” in Greek, which speaks to my aspirations
- My high level of empathy makes me a good listener
- I have 7 tattoos so far
- I’m the last surviving of my parents’ children, which I take to heart in my actions and how I treat others
- I have a good sense of humor about most things
- I love bugs — my favorite are roly polies!
